Introduction of basic sensors for measuring Mechanical sensor

  • Strain Gauge Sensor

    • There are several methods to measure the strain. The most common method is to use a strain gauge. The strain gauge varies an electrical resistance in proportion to the strain amount of the device unit. Metal strain gauge is popular than others.
    • It must detect very small resistance change. For high accuracy, collect bridge, signal conditioning, connectivity, data collection component and use correctly.

Temperature Sensor (RTD, Thermistor)

  • RTD measure MAX 850 °C
  • Platinum RTD: 0 °C to 100 Ω with plastic film, measuring resistance and temperature
  • Thermistor is heat-sensitive semiconductor as MOS material coated with glass or epoxy lining. It is a higher resistance value than RTD. Thermistor is used in low current.

Pressure Sensor

There are several types to measure the Pressure Sensor. The pressure is converted into an intermediate form, such as displacement. Then Sensor converted electrical output as voltage or current. Three common forms are strain gauge transducer, a variable displacement transducer, a piezoelectric transducer.

Motor

  • Motor control method is to change the input voltage. It is largely divided into two methods.
  • Resistance control type is inserting the analog voltage regulator between the motor and the power and control the voltage in Motor.
  • Pulse control type is controlling effectively through the duty control of the pulses in Motor.
